![]() And if you don't want to use healing items while you're free-roaming around the city, just go to a restaurant (markes as orange with the diner icon on the map) and eat there.By the time the credits had rolled on Yakuza Kiwami 2 I’d uncovered a plot to detonate a series of explosives around Tokyo, climbed my way through the ranks of an underground fight club buried in the bowels of a construction site, and partnered with a number of businesses in Osaka in an effort to boost my burgeoning cabaret club management career. Also don't be afraid of spending money for healing items, of course. I did it during my first playthrough of Yakuza 0 and I suffered (mentally). Forget about them and you might soft-lock yourself in a boss fight without healing items until you beat them. These can be found in the shops marked as yellow in the map. Now, if you are new to the series there is ONE thing in particular you MUST never forget. You can find cheat items for most gambling games around the city that allow you to beat the specific challenges for some minigames in one or two hands, which is frankly a HUGE relief. They sound overwhelming, right? Don't worry, one of the difference of why Yakuza 0 takes double as long to complete as Yakuza Kiwami is because of cheat items. Then we have the non-gambling minigames, which are: Bowling, Darts, Clubbing, Batting, Karaoke (the best one), Mahjong, MesuKing, Pool, Shogi, Pocket Circuit, Photo Booth and UFO Catcher. There are also a few Japanese ones, which are: cee-loo, cho-han, koi-koi, oicho-kabu (but you don't need to worry about these ones, 2 of them are simply dice games and the other 2 are with cards but they aren't that hard to understand tbh, it always comes down to luck so even if you don't know how to play you can win since it's all RNG I'll explain them in the next pages though.). Gambling minigames are the ones that follow: Blackjack, Poker (there are 3 types, Omaha, Pineapple, and Texas Hold'em, doesn't matter which one you play, I played the latter and could complete it with no problems), Baccarat, Roulette which are all familiar to the Western fanbase. ![]() ![]() This Yakuza is one of the shortest ones to complete because it has a few less minigames than the others and the story isn't that long (13 chapters, as opposed to 17 that we have in Yakuza 0). This kind of did an RNG reset for me, as I found simply loading the save not effective at all. I personally found it really effective to completely CLOSE the game and restart it. Or it can go really bad for you and require 2 hours to get it done. You might complete a gambling minigame in 1 hand. There is not a reason to be embarassed if it takes you really long to get a 100%, most of it believe me comes down to pure luck. It takes from 60 to around 80 hours to complete the game, around 84h per average (not an average from TA though), and it might take you even 100+ hours if you take it really slow. The difficulty in completing Yakuza Kiwami (as opposed to Yakuza 0) doesn't come down to the minigames (not all of them at least, only a few) as per-se (there is an addition in this chapter of the saga that makes it A LOT easier for us to beat them), but rather to Haruka's requests, Mahjong (as always) and the Climax Battles.
